Eric and Brittney

I am just getting around to posting about last weekend because Cora is in the middle of a crazy growth spurt and I haven't had that much free time!  We went to San Antonio for Eric and Brittney's couples shower.  It was the most easy-going shower I have ever been a part of.  We spend the majority of the day playing upstairs with the little girls which was quite entertaining.  Abigail and Cora were so cute together.  Abigail loves giving Cora kisses (i.e. licking her forehead).

Cora had a great time playing with Abigail's toys!

Here are some pics from the shower . . .

Cora, the life of the party, as usual

I love this sweet couple and can't wait until their wedding in August!

This weekend we are heading to Galveston for 4th of July!  Happy holiday weekend everyone!

Fathers Day Weekend

What a wonderful weekend!  We kicked it off Friday night by heading to Panna Maria for Stephanie and Joel's wedding.  Cora was a bit fussy when we got to the rehearsal dinner.  She just wasn't feelin it, but it was so nice to see everyone again!  She wasn't much happier when it came to the wedding ceremony, luckily we had a bottle to give her, which of course lightened her mood. . .

The wedding was absolutely beautiful!! Stephanie and Joel are such a special couple.  We had been looking forward to their wedding, as well as Ryan and Erin's, for so long and now I am kind of sad that they are both over.  I am a such a sucker for a good Polish Panna Maria wedding.

The happy couple

My cousin, Josh. Adorable.

Cora spent most of the reception outside with Grams, Pops and Uncle Dave.  She was not a fan of the loud music inside!  I enjoyed getting to dance with my husband while she was taken care of

We drove all the way back to College Station after the wedding.  It has been tough making all these long road trips every weekend, but thankfully Cora usually sleeps the whole way and it gives Michael and I time to have hours of uninterrupted conversation, which I love.

This morning we got to sleep in (even cora!!!!!) so the late night drive was well worth it.  And now we are enjoying a relaxing Fathers Day at home! Usually Michael is the one who does the pampering on a daily basis around here, so it is fun to turn the tables and give him the star treatment that he SO deserves.  As I have said before, Cora's favorite thing to do is dance with her daddy, so she wanted to set up a surprise daddy/daughter dance for the two of them in the living room. . .

It was a success, he loved it! On the agenda for tonight, fried chicken and Aggie baseball. Happy Fathers Day everyone!

3 and 300 Months

On Wednesday little Cora Rose turned 3 months, and yesterday I turned 300 months (or 25 years).   There has been a lot of celebrating going on around here!  This month has been all about personality for our little girl! She is so hilarious.  As I am typing this, she is on the couch next to me and having what seems like a full on conversation with her daddy.  She is moving on up to 3-6 month clothes, but she is still in size one diapers.  She is a great sleeper for the most part.  She has gotten in the routine of sleeping at night from about 9:30 to 4ish.  She will usually eat and go right back to sleep until about 6.  Her naps are still pretty sporadic during the day (we will work on a schedule next month).  It seems like she just turned two months old yesterday, but she has picked up on a lot since then!  She has started putting everything in her mouth, including outfits . . .

She has started playing with some of her different toys! She has also started drooling everywhere.   She loves to "fly" around the apartment, which is a great work out for me!  Her eyes are sort of a deep blue right now

And we have seen a lot more of this beautiful smile . . .

She may have even started to giggle!  My mom heard it last week when she was changing her diaper, and I heard her a couple of days later, so hopefully by 4 months it will be a regular thing.

Last weekend she even went to a shower for her best friend/cousin Julia!  She is going to be here in early August and we are SO SO excited!!!!

 Cousins!!

We are gearing up for another exciting weekend!  A wedding in Panna Maria and of course, Fathers Day!  Cora has some fun stuff in store for her daddy :)

Memorial Day Weekend!

Cora's first Memorial Day!  Even though she doesn't quite grasp the significance yet, she still had a total blast celebrating, and so did we.  We are so grateful for all the men and women who sacrifice their lives for ours.  I LOVE America and all things patriotic!

On Friday we met my family for dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday . . .

We spent the rest of the holiday with the Paweleks because David was in town from Colorado!  This was the first time that all of the Pawelek siblings have been together since Joe and Casey's wedding last July.  It felt so good to have everyone together!  We went down to the coast to celebrate.

We were nervous about how she would do, but Cora loved the beach!! She spent her first day in a cute bathing suit from her Godmother.  Michael's parents brought a tent for her to hang out in.  It was perfect because it blocked her from the wind and sun!  She enjoyed being in her bouncy chair and laying down in the inflatable pool. . .

She loved all the attention she got from her aunts and uncles.

She practiced her smile a lot . . .

The second day she was outfitted in all of  her new beach gear from Grams . . .

Our little girl has turned into quite the beach bum!

Here is the whole gang . . .

It was so much fun to be with everyone again!  It reminded me of how lucky I am to be a part of this wonderful family!
